The dermal filler products we use at Dr Rachelle Walker Aesthetics are hyaluronic-acid based. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in our skin and helps maintain hydration, elasticity and a healthy skin barrier.

In dermal fillers hyaluronic acid attracts and binds water which helps to create a smooth, natural looking volume.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are biodegradable and reversible. Over time, the body naturally breaks them which causes a gradual, controlled fade. If needed they can also be safely dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. The reversibility makes hyaluronic acid fillers a flexible and safety focussed option.

Results from hyaluronic acid dermal fillers typically last between 6 and 24 months depending on product, treatment area and individual factors.
